Wrightslaw: Special Education Law & Advocacy 2-Day Conference

Special Students of Hernando & Hernando County Schools (ESE Department) present Wrightslaw seminar for parents, educators, advocates, attorneys, and professionals. This conference is a high energy, 12 hour course which includes: IDEA 2004; understanding tests and measurements; tracking adequate progress; No Child Left Behind; tactics and strategies for effective advocacy. The two speakers for this event will be Pete and Pam Wright, authors of Wrightslaw: IDEA 2004 and From Emotions To Advocacy: The Special Education Survival Guide. Pete Wright is an experienced and well-respected attorney whose law practice is devoted to assisting children with disabilities and their parents. Pam Wright is a psychotherapist who has worked with children and families for more than 30 years.
